Sounds arrogant, doesn't it? We are
not really as bad as all that and are very happy to respond
to questions or requests (including exchanges of data) from
people who supply us with scientific and other relevant data
that is of interest to us - or who are asking interesting
questions. But: our usually cheerful smiles
freeze when we are asked by people we have never even heard
of to supply data on the double. We have found out the hard
way that such people and organizations rarely feel a
corresponding urge to return the favour in any way.
This site incorporates the work of
a few dedicated and unpaid mugs. There are no salaried
executives on bonus schemes, no golden parachutes or
handshakes and no huge corporate structures with
headquarters designed by over-rated star architects
featuring executive dining rooms and swimming pool on the
roof. All information we put on this
web-site can be accessed free of charge and downloaded for
uncommercial uses. Anything more and you must have something
