The stratigraphy yof the Pz2 site:

7. earth
6. traces of sea shells, violet colour
5. traces of seashells, dark colour
4. calcified sea shells and ashes
3. traces of burnt vegetable matter
2. accumulated seashells and mud
1.archaeologically sterile loam

 

 

 

Bone tools found at Pz2 site:

a. wedge (front and side)
b. toothed cruciform harpoon
c. chisel or spatula made of the bones of a seal

These finds have been dated by C14 method to around 6,500 years before the present.

 

Bone tools found at Pz2 site:

a. base of a cruciform harpoon
b. part of a harpoon
c. tooth of a seal
d. endpiece of a harpoon

The finds are dated by C14 to a little less than 7,000 years before the present.
