APPENDIX P

The Jarawa Report - Annexures

The Indian Supreme Court judgments handed down in the early 2000s (see Appendix N) demanded scientific research to be carried out into the Andamanese people and the results to be published. The main reports are not published in 2006 but a set of Annexures to the Jarawa Report has been published containing a great deal of material not before accessible or known.

These annexures are made accessible here. We have added tables of contents to some of the Annexures to make them easier to use and tidied up the often somewhat uneven layout, spelling and typography - but we have not changed content or meaning. George Weber has also added a map and statistical charts to Chapter 7 which are not part of the official report but which - we hope - make it easier to read the reports.
