The Museum of Ethnology's old buildings at Täubchenweg 2, Leipzig, are undergoing a complete reconstruction since 2001. The Museum's Andamanese collection is in storage and not accessible at present
Most of the Museum's Andamanese collection comes from Egon v. Eickstedt who was the first German and physical anthropologist to visit Little Andamans1927/28.
A list of Andamanese items held by the Museum for Ethnology at Leipzig is not at present available.
